Venus Trine Jupiter
December 19
Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a drone…!
...Nah, just kidding. It's a meet cute between the two benefics. Joy! This is one of the most exciting aspects we'll see in the next few weeks. Jupiter, the Great Benefic, the expander, the planet of wisdom and abundance is lookin' across the way at Venus -- the planet of value, and beauty and art and love and connection and self-care and unity and justice. Trines are one of the most harmonious aspects. The fact that this one shows up on the 19th just before the Solstice is an added bonus. It's def here to support the sun's transition from one season to the next, the longest night of the year in the Northern hemisphere, and the shift from Sagittarius to Capricorn. Chani calls these two planets the planets of relaxation. We can exhale. This aspect offers up growth and openness, and happens just a couple times of year. It’s a time to say YES (well, yes to the things that feel beneficial). This dance helps us open our hearts and expands our capacity for love. Show up accordingly.
A trine represents a flow between the two planets, especially when they are in the same element — Venus in Aquarius and Jupiter in Gemini. It follows on the heels of a Sun square Neptune, so things may feel a little delulu right beforehand. But, the full moon in Gemini also just occurred, so this trine comes from that place. Jupiter can do more good coming out of this full moon. Mercury is also direct, so it’s a moment that’s good for the flow of information. This is a beautiful, benefic set up for groups and the collective: it’s excellent for sending out newsletters, community and coalition building, and being with your people. Curiosity is in the mix and there may be a revealing of information. In the midst of a Mars retrograde and the shadow period of Mercury Rx, the Venus-Jupiter trine is a delightful ray of light.
Thursday is an extra special moment. Depending on where Venus and Jupiter are in your chart, things look good. How can you make the most of this glittering opportunity?
