Venus Rx March 1 - April 29
This is both a rough and a blessed transit. Blessed in the beginning, rough in the middle, then blessed again, and then just…whatever we get with Venus direct in Aries, the sign of her fall. Note we have Venus exalted in Pisces (shines), then Venus in her detriment/fall, Aries (struggles), and a Venus Rx in both signs (time for review) and then Venus back in Pisces (yay!), then Venus in Aries again (yikes!). Pisces themes = romance, abundance, creativity, spirituality and dreamy mysticism. In Aries, Venus is fiery, confident, fierce, unapologetic and cunning (even a bit naughty ;-). She’s not interested in accepting that with which she does not agree. She’s a diva and a creatrix.
January 2-February 3 - Venus starts the year in her sign of exaltation, Pisces. The planet of abundance, connection, beauty, attraction, creativity, and romantic relationships shares this space—the 12th house— with Saturn and Neptune, and then the North Node. The part of your chart that contains Pisces is extra blessed through January 28/29 when Venus begins her pre-retrograde shadow. Enjoy Venus’ forward-moving energy until then. Look out for signs of uniting with the collective.
February 4 - Venus moves into Aries, the sign of her fall. She’s in Mars’ sign, y’all — it’s LOUD. She struggles here—BUT, Venus in Aries is all about action. Maybe there’s social cohesion, maybe there shouldn't be? She may inspire action against injustice.
March 1, Venus stations retrograde in the sign of her detriment. (Mars is also in its detriment in Cancer at the same time.) This is Venus’ Underworld Journey. Venus’ retrograde in Pisces and Aries is linked to the Mesopotanian mythology of Inanna and her sister–her shadow side—the goddess of the underworld, Ereshkigal. Feel free to look it up. Inanna hears the call of her sister. Goes on the journey to the underworld -- Three days (number of days before and after you can't see the new moon...Seven gates to the underworld.) Inanna is reborn. We can’t see the planet during this time. It's an evening star now; it goes into the underworld (during retrograde); and re-emerges as the morning star. In the descent myth, the goddess is stripped down, dying unto herself, witnessing the suffering of the other side of self, being witnessed by...It’s an intense time for our relationships, and our relationship to self. Venus-types usually have a moment. This time is all about reflection.
