New Moon Pisces
February 27
Endings. And beginnings. The New Moon is in Pisces, a lovely sign for cozying up. This is the last moon before eclipse season—it’s close—but we’re not there yet. This is the final new moon of this past cosmic year. A portal. Compassion. Connection. Reflect on potential. Where might you strengthen emotional bonds? What does this new beginning signify for you? What are you calling in? What intention(s) are you setting? We’re in the short period of time when all the planets are direct (though the four personal planets are in their fall), so what can you begin and how can you move it FORWARD?
It’s dreaming season—proceed accordingly. The prayers that you send out into the Universe are amplified by this astro.
Saturn, Neptune, Mercury and the North Node are in Pisces too, so Luna has company. She’s closest to the North Node, tho not there yet. Refer back to September’s eclipse for clues on what this highlights; it may also signify what’s to come in September 2025 around that full moon eclipse. If you have your natal chart, check out whatever house Pisces rules for you, and that’s where to center your attention for your intention.
With the North Node and Neptune in the picture with Luna, we’ve got all the feelings. Feel ‘em all—but don’t get lost in illusion. Mercury will be translating the insatiability of the North Node, the escapism of Neptune and the boundaries set by Saturn.
Note that Venus, Neptune and Saturn will rotate back and forth between Pisces and Aries for a good part of the year — Venus initiating her retrograde in Aries within days reinforces the relationship bonds you’re contemplating. Fierce. Radical compassion. Think: courage, and surrender. What sacred fire burns in your heart? Surrender isn't about giving up; it’s about opening up.
This lunation is complemented by a Mercury-Uranus sextile. Inspiration meets innovation. Dreams = blueprints for revolution. This weekend’s Mercury conjunct North Node and Jupiter square Sun are born of this New Moon. Hold space for that energy.
Note—if you’re honoring winter and the winter solstice, or the end of the cosmic year, this is your last month for introspection (well, intentional, depth-of-winter reflection (think: cocooning) before Earth awakes in the Northern Hemisphere —Spring cometh with Aries season. As you conclude this time of darkness, depth, rebirth and reflection, how are you looking toward the action inevitably ushered in by spring? The Universe conspires to help you create, serving not just your heart but collective evolution.
The combination of your imagination and your emotions are your prayers.
